Driver Instructions v Instructions in writing
Effective 1st January 09, compliance by 1st July 2009 for ADR
Labeline will continue to provide "instruction in writing"
We are finding that most companies still prefer to use "Instructions in writing" as it is good safety practice for companies, drivers and the public in the event of an accident. So we will continue to provide them for our customers.
Regulations under these rules specify that cards are required in the languages of the countries travelled from, through and to. This means that a driver could be carrying a possible 32 cards that includes the driver's language," this rule will end 1st Jan 09.
Future cards (IIW) can be simplified by using two or four languages as long as the driver understands one of the written languages.
"Driver instructions" will be the alternative and will be available in all 32 languages as offered under the "instructions in writing" as long as the written language can be understood by the driver.

Labeline can also provide an emergency Tremcard service. If your goods have been held in port or stopped on the road from any further movements, we will fax a copy to you so that you can get your cargo on the move without delay. Contact our customer services for more information.
