IMDG Code Update

IMDG Code Stock

IMDG Issue 39 Volume 1

The 39/18 Amendment to the IMDG Code has been in short supply since restrictions were put in place to combat COVID-19.  As a leading authorised distributor for IMO, Labeline International has obtained a limited stock of the publication and the IMDG Code Supplement.

The indefinite postponement of the 102nd session of the Maritime Safety Committee, which was to have taken place in May, means that the content of the 40/20 Amendment may not be finalised for some time.  It is conceivable, therefore, that the 39/18 Amendment may still be the primary reference into 2021.

All orders already placed with Labeline will be met.  However, if you require a copy of the current regulations, you are urged to place your order with us soon as we will be supplying on a first come, first served basis.  Orders can be placed online using PO, BACS Transfer or Credit Card.  Click here.

IMDG Code Web Access

Following concerns raised by Labeline and others regarding the implications of withdrawing access to the digital versions of the IMDG Code, the IMO has reconsidered its decision and will now enable the sales of the Web Access version to continue until 31st December 2020.  However, there will be no updates made to the product, so any amendments or addenda issued in the interim will not be included.

Effectively, this means that, if the 40/20 Amendment is issued as normal, the changes therein will not be included in the Web Access version.  The 39/18 Amendment remains a compliant reference at least until 31st December 2021 and is also still available in book form or in e-Reader format.

This decision also means that the access module option in the IMDG Code courses will still be available until 31stDecember 2021.

IMO are conducting a short survey for customers of their publications.  Please click here to give your feedback and support the reinstatement of digital access.  Thank you to all our customers who have already completed the survey.
