The first Dangerous Goods Online Training Courses approved by the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority are now available from Labeline.
To meet the requirements of the regulations, personnel must be trained to a level that is commensurate with their responsibilities. For dangerous goods, this training must include general familiarisation, be function specific and cover the hazards presented by dangerous goods.
As the industry moves towards adopting competency-based training, the DGOT online courses will give candidates greater flexibility to undertake modules that are specific to their roles.
The Dangerous Goods Online Training courses help candidates to be proficient in the use of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. The content is fully compliant with CAA regulations and designed for airlines, shippers, postal operators and freight forwarders.
Courses are suitable for Shippers and Packers (Category 1), Operators and Ground Handling Agents (Category 6) and all roles described under ICAO & IATA categories 1 to 17, including dangerous goods packers, acceptance staff and those who produce shipper’s declarations.
To ensure that candidates are tested for competency, an invigilated exam must be taken after completing the online training modules. To fulfil this requirement, the CAA has approved the online invigilation process devised to accompany this course. The price for online exam invigilation is £100 +VAT.
